John "Jack" Earl Tarleton
I was born in Santa Monica, California. I lived there till when I was about 4, which is when our family moved to San Francisco. I attended the rest of pre-school there until kindergarden where I transferred to a private school. Private school was fine but with the S.F. weather, it was not so fun. Finally, my family decided to move to Novato where I attended my first public school, Sinaloa. I loved Sinaloa because compared to private schools, the teachers were nicer and I was better interested the subjects. About half way through my eighth grade year I heard about this new program at San Marin called STEM. STEM seemed like the perfect place pursue my dream job as a robotics engineer that specializes in connections with the brain. I applied and got in, and so did most of my friends to. The combination of STEM and being accepted into honors English made sure that my years at high school would be great but challenging. Though if STEM doesn't work out I plan on pursuing a career in music. I absolutely love to play my tenor saxophone and it is a good hobby. I am also in the San Marin Jazz Band so that I can play what a love on the music I love. Honestly, no matter what I will still be playing my saxophone; I always have something that I am auditioning for and I love it! So if I get my dream engineering job I'll just play my saxophone on the side.
