Musical Instruments/Build a Band
This time in STEM, our class groups were tasked with making several different types of instruments. These types included percussion, chime, stringed, and wind.

Key terms used to describe the function of the instruments
Frequency- how often a vibration occurs
Wavelength- distance of the top of one wave to the next
Reflection
Yet, again this was quite a fun project to work on. It was cool watching not only my group's, but the groups around me, change and evolve their instruments. I know that the wind instrument that I worked on started out sounding quite odd. It sounded like a bugle horn and it was really hard to have a continuous air stream going through it. Then I simply added a tenor sax mouthpiece, that I have from the fact that I play it, and it made the instrument sound like a clarinet and I was okay with that. Though, this project did not come without its challenges. I found it hard trying to figure out the exact measurements to drill a hole into. Where I drilled the hole was what note it was going to play and whether or not it would be sharp or flat. From what I saw around me though, everyone kind of had the same problem I did. So in the end with a cool project to work on and a great group to do it with, it was quite a fun project.
